This is the report of the third annual convention of the National Black Radical Political Congress. The theme of the 2024 convention was “The Alternative: Building a Black Radical Political Movement.” This event was a virtual event attended by 76 online participants. Attendees and delegates represented the following 16 states:

NBRPC 2024 Panels:
Nine key panels highlighted current issues pertinent to Black Radical Electoral Politics. The panels consisted of the following:
- Electoral Politics, Empowerment & Representation
- 527 Organizations and Political Action Committees
- Reparations
- International Affairs and US Imperialism
- Political Prisoners
- Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Police Accountability & Prison Abolition
- Jobs, Education and Housing
- Climate Change and Environmental Justice
- Combating Fascism and Political Repression at Home
*Additionally, presidential candidate Dr. Cornel West and vice-presidential candidate Dr. Melina Abdullah presented.
NBRPC (2024) Closing Plenary Discussions and Decisions
- The Executive Committee presented on the current status of the National Black Radical Political Congress.
- Co-Chair Khalid Raheem gave an overview of the 2023-2024 year.
- Recording Secretary Nnamdi Lumumba discussed membership and joining the NBRPC.
- Correspondence Secretary Joyce Maxwell provided information about the planning of the convention as well as information about upcoming conventions.
- Treasurer Lisa Quinn updated members about current financials of the NBRPC.
Resolutions
- Brother Khalid offered that we create specific donation amounts and criteria for candidates that the NBRPC will support.
- We resolve to support the creation of mass political education programs, civics and electoral schools around the United States for the Black community.
- We resolve to support efforts by other Black independent programs that strive to raise the political education of our community.
- We resolve to endorse the existing Electoral School program sponsored by the Black is Back Coalition.
